5 Incredible INDIGENOUS Tourism Experiences in Canada | Alberta Travel Guide

Traveling to Alberta Canada, do not miss out on these 5 Indigenous Tourism experiences from learning how to cook fry bread with an Indigenous chef, hiking Alberta’s Canadian Rocky Mountains with a Blackfoot hiking guide, learning how to ride a horse with at a ranch where their Ojibway, Cree, and Mohawk heritage is woven into everything they do, taking a plant and medicine walk with a Cree Iroquois company sharing culture, traditions and heritage or rediscovering Edmonton’s stunning River Valley with a Métis geologist.

And these are only just a few of the tours and experiences offered by Indigenous Tourism Alberta.

If you haven’t heard about Indigenous Tourism Alberta, they are a non-profit organization that encourages and promotes authentic Indigenous tourism.

Their site showcases immersive Indigenous experiences throughout Alberta. The types of experiences range from reflexology therapy to adventurous hiking.

The only problem is that there are too many amazing things to do. Which is why I did five different Indigenous experiences in five days.

And yet there are still others I’d like to do.

// MORE ABOUT ME!//
Hi I’m Ayngelina and my full time job is my site BaconisMagic.ca it’s all about the best food around the world and how to make it at home.

In 2010 I left a job in advertising, 5 year relationship and sold all my possessions to travel the world. In the last ten years I’ve had some crazy experiences and even owned a restaurant in Toronto at one time. And prior to 2020 I had been based in Cuba.

When the world shut down I returned to Canada and decided to teach myself video. I wanted to share more than just words and photos but to show people the adventures I have learning about food around the world.

I’m not married. I have no kids. But I do have a lot of local friends who help me discover the best local tips.
